Discussions at AKARI are always about bringing together the community and discussing pressing matters. During times like these, it’s important to do so.
On Friday, April 10, AKARI hosted a Men’s Health Panel that brought together men from across Dubai for the conversations they need but often avoid. Energy, hormones, performance, stress, and longevity.
The energy in that room was exactly what we hoped for; open, honest, supportive. Men showing up for themselves and each other, asking the hard questions, and walking away with real guidance.
We brought together four specialists who understand men’s health from different but complementary angles:
Arsalan Al Hashimi
Founder & CEO of Ascension Human Optimization & Performance, Arsalan specializes in human optimization and alchemizing chronic stress into life mastery. His approach combines performance psychology with practical, actionable strategies for men navigating high-pressure environments.
Dr. Davies Boateng
As a Family Medicine Consultant at DISC Medical Clinic, Dr. Davies brings clinical expertise in men’s hormonal health and preventive medicine. His grounded, evidence-based approach made complex medical topics accessible and actionable.
Borna Bandari
CEO of Cymbiotika Middle East, Borna shared insights on optimal supplementation and health – cutting through the noise to focus on what actually works for male vitality and performance.
Aaron Illathu
Managing Director and Advisor to leading health tech and wellness brands, Aaron explored the role wearables play in turning everyday habits – sleep, strain, and recovery – into measurable health outcomes. His data-driven approach gave men practical tools to track and optimize their own health.
What made this panel special wasn’t just the expertise on stage – it was the willingness in the room to engage honestly.
Men asked about energy crashes that derail their afternoons. Hormonal changes they’ve noticed but haven’t addressed. Performance anxiety they’ve been dealing with silently. Stress that’s affecting everything from sleep to relationships.
The experts brought knowledge without judgment. The community brought curiosity without hesitation.
Conversations continued long after the formal panel ended – over adaptogenic treats from Nourishing Dubai, in small groups that formed organically, through contact exchanges and follow-up questions that showed real engagement.
This is what men’s health discussions should feel like: supportive, honest, and immediately useful.
Energy, hormones, performance, stress, longevity – these aren’t just wellness buzzwords. They’re the daily realities men navigate, often alone.
Creating space for these conversations, especially during uncertain times, matters. It reminds us that taking care of our health isn’t selfish – it’s necessary. That asking questions isn’t weakness – it’s wisdom. That community support amplifies individual effort.
Men left with more than information. They left with actionable next steps, connections made, and the reminder that they’re not alone in navigating these challenges.
This won’t be our last men’s health panel. The response – both in attendance and in the conversations that continued afterward – showed us that Dubai’s men are ready for these discussions.
AKARI remains committed to creating spaces where wellness conversations happen openly, where science meets accessibility, and where community supports individual health journeys.
To everyone who showed up on Friday: thank you for your presence, your questions, and your willingness to prioritize your health openly. You made that room what it was.
Stay tuned for future panels, workshops, and community gatherings. This is just the beginning.
